3 Key Players for Friday Night’s AFL Round 15

Round 15 will continue on Friday night with the AFL fixture the Geelong Cats hosting the Adelaide Crows at GMHBA Stadium. Both teams had a great first half of the season and will be desperate to continue their strong form this weekend.

The Cats will be looking to bounce back from a loss to the Power last weekend, which was just their second of the season. They remain in top spot as of now, although a couple of teams are in striking distance if they’re to slip up again.

The Crows had their scheduled bye last weekend and will be hoping their freshener will have them in good stead on Friday’s AFL fixture. Prior to their week off, they played one of their best games of the season, defeating the Tigers at home by 33 points.

PlayON have a great range of tournaments on offer for the Friday night clash with over $500 up for grabs. Check out our best daily fantasy tips for Geelong vs Adelaide below.

Gun for hire – Patrick Dangerfield ($15.9m)

Currently one of the shortest odds for this year’s Brownlow Medal, Patrick Dangerfield looks to be a set-and-forget type pick here. He started off the season rather slow by his lofty standards but has since come on strong to deliver some of the best footy we’ve seen from him.

Dangerfield is averaging 107 for the season and 113 over his past five games and has shown the ability to go huge with 4x 130+ scores from his 12 games, including a monster 162 in Round 12 against the Tigers.

Dud to avoid – Taylor Walker ($9.3m)

Much-maligned Crows skipper Taylor Walker is our player to fade in this match. He’s been labelled as a ‘flat-track bully’ due to his knack of kicking goals and playing well only when his side is up and about, which is harsh but also true when you look at his stats this season.

Walker will have his work cut out for him again on Friday night when he comes up against the best defence in the league. Don’t be fooled by his 95 last time out against the Tigers, Walker has 6x scores of 56 or less this season and will likely do it for a seventh time come when he takes on the Cats in Friday nights AFL fixture.

Point of difference – Tom Stewart ($13.2m)

A player that can sometimes fly under the radar in daily fantasy is Cats defender Tom Stewart. He was an All-Australian in 2018 and has continued on with that form this season. He’s part of a Geelong defence that many believe is the best in the business, and often finds himself among their best players.

In terms of fantasy, Stewart comes up against a soft match-up in the Crows, who have given up the third most points to opposition top 3 defenders this season, which he more than qualifies as. His lowest score all season is 79, highlighting his tremendous consistency in DFS.
