Preview of our AFL Daily Fantasy NBA contests on PlayON this Saturday. Which player’s represent the best options for your line ups.
Having returned from a lengthy hamstring injury, Geelong’s Nick Haynes looks back to his best and represents a steal at just $8.6m this week against Hawthorn. Haynes is a popular choice with 22% ownership so far, with value like that hard to pass up against a weak scoring side. His team mate Aidan Corr is a consistently strong cheapie option at just $5.7m although his upside is capped at about 1,000 points.
Jack Martin is coming off a monster game last week where he eclipsed the 1500 point mark and has rebounded nicely from a quiet stretch in weeks 12 and 13.
For Richmond, Alex Rance has passed the 1000 point mark for three consecutive weeks and the continued suspension of Bachar Houli means David Astbury is also a strong option on what has been one of the best defences all season.
Brisbane Lions ruck Stefan Martin has been solid every week and occasionally spectacular, with more than 25 hitouts in three of the last four weeks. Some users seems wary of his $11.8m price tag in what could be a onesided contest against the Geelong Cats, but a risky play on him could pay big dividends.
Toby Nankervis is proving a hugely popular selection and at just $8.2m it seems foolish to fade him unless very confident in your alternatives. At $6.9m Billy Longer is coming off a strong week for St.Kilda. His famously weak kicking game didn’t impact his fantasy performance last week and we’ll see if he can keep that up in round 16.
Callan Ward is our standout pick of the week after back to back dominant rounds. The Giants have a ton of injuries this week which increases the need for Ward to have a big game. Lachie Whitfield has also impressed and is currently PlayON’s most frequently picked midfielder for Rd 16.
In form Sydney Swans have won 7 of 8 games and Luke Parker was a big reason for a winning performance in Rd 15. his 1800 point total was among the best by any player last week, outscoring even Dangerfield and Mitchell. Despite being bumped to $13m he could still be worth a punt this week
The suggestion that Toby Greene and Steve Johnson are unlikely to be fit for Saturday’s game means the list of potential options for our teams is considerably thinned. However one name that jumps off the page is Lance Franklin who lit it up last week to the tune of 11 marks and 4 goals.
Richmonds Kane Lambert is another great value play for your PlayON team, notching over 1700 points last week without even managing a goal. If he finds his shooting boots 2000 is in play.
