After some midweek catch up games, Gameweek 33 of the Premier League returns with some Friday Night Footy to start the weekend a bit earlier.
You can start earlier at PlayON too, as their Daily Fantasy offerings are up for the Friday game. To give you the best chance of taking home the cash prizes, I have picked out my best plays for the game.
Southampton v. Liverpool
Form on both sides here, as they come into this on the back of a couple of wins in the last two games. Over the course of the season the form differs a bit, with just one loss for Liverpool in their title charge, while the Saints have 14 and remain in relegation conversations.
The sides have met a total of 39 times at this level and the Reds currently lead 19-10 in terms of wins. They have also won the last three of these meetings, while the hosts haven’t scored in any of the last five. Good enough for me to jump on the away players for PlayON purposes.
Prone to slipping under the radar behind Mané and Salah, Roberto Firmino (£14.4m) has 12 goals for the season and three goals and an assist in his last three games.
In the best form of the big three Reds forwards in recent weeks, worth jumping on here.
On the pricey side for a defender, but with the average to back it up, Virgil van Dijk (£8.6m) is averaging over 1000 courtesy of 16 cleans sheets, three goals and three assists.
A good chance for another clean sheet here, and always a threat from set plays, there’s a potential big score to be made here.
Apparently Mo Salah (£15.6m) has dropped to a 980 average. Coupled with the price, and a quiet few rounds, will that scare a few off owning?
If so, he did pick up an assist last out and they do say something about form being temporary…
A smaller round this time, but there are still enough games coming over the weekend to keep you busy, and definitely enough competitions to enter at PlayON.
Get your teams in for Friday’s comps and check back soon for the Saturday preview.
