Daily Fantasy Premier League Picks: Wolves v. Newcastle

One final game to close out Gameweek 26, which means one final chance to win prizes at PlayON – for this round at least!

To help you with that, I have selected who I think are the players you should be looking at for your sides.

Wolves v. Newcastle

Both sides went into Round 25 with back to back wins. Wolves were able to extend that to three with a win over Everton, while Newcastle conceded late to go down to Spurs.

The hosts have adjusted to life in the top flight well, and sit seventh as it stands, harbouring outside hopes of European places. The Magpies find themselves entrenched at the other end of the table, just two points clear of the drop zone.

Wolves took this out 2-1 back in December with a late winner, and would be favourites for this one given they’re at home. I can see both getting on the scoresheet though, so space for visitors in your PlayON squads too.

Consistency has been the key for Raúl Jiménez (£11.6m) this season, as he has never gone more than a three games without a goal or assist. Three goals in the last two have taken him to nine for the season, to go with seven assists. I make him most likely to score in this.

Value Pick

Three goals and two assists in the last three, Diogo Jota (£11.1m) has hit form, as his 1360 average shows (the highest in this game).

A talented lad, and definitely one who can cause the Magpies some trouble here.

POD Pick

With Wolves such favourites with the bookies, it’s always likely Newcastle players will have low ownership, meaning POD potential everywhere.

If the visitors are to sneak a goal or two, it will likely involve Salomón Rondón (£8.8m) as it has for nine of their goals so far this season.

That draws Monday, and the round, to a close, or it will once you’ve headed to the Games Lobby and entered your teams.

A week off for the Premier League now, as focus turns to the cup games, but I will be back the weekend after to look at Round 27.

Good luck!
