Pundit’s Picks Gameweek 24

Philippe Coutinho of Liverpool scores their second goal during the FA Cup Fourth round replay between Bolton Wanderers and Liverpool at Macron Stadium on February 4, 2015 in Bolton, England.

The PlayON Pundit picks his fantasy football line up for the coming Gameweek. He’s less about the stats, more about going with your instincts. How many of his picks feature in your line up?

Goalkeeper

Costel Pantilimon (Sunderland)

Swansea no longer have Wilfried Bony, and Gylfie Sigurdsson is missing through suspension. Without those two they possess very little goal threat. Pantilimon has been an incredible keeper in fantasy football, and rarely lets his managers down. Even when he concedes he makes enough saves to make up for it.

Last week: David De Gea: (200 pts)  (The late goal conceded was a killer, taking over 500 pts off the board)

Defenders

John Terry (Chelsea), Branislav Ivanovic (Chelsea), Kurt Zouma (Chelsea), Fabricio Coloccini (Newcastle)

Going heavy on Chelsea defenders this weekend for obvious reasons. Newcastle have defended well at home, apart from the stretch when they were without their top too ‘keepers.

Last week: Nathaniel Clyne (475 pts) , Laurent Koscielny (1,345 pts) , Jose Fonte (375 pts) , Hector Bellerin (2,450) pts

Midfielders

Remy Cabella (Newcastle), Philippe Coutinho (Liverpool), Santi Cazorla (Arsenal), Francis Coquelin (Arsenal)

Cabella looks ready to deliver on the promise he showed in France, and their are no players in better form than the duo of Coutinho and Cazorla. Coquelin brings the defensive steel to the team, and has been producing 1000 pt performances as standard.

Last Week: Daley Blind (1,900 pts), Nemanja Matic (1,250 pts), Raheem Sterling (1,500 pts) , Santi Cazorla (2,900 pts)

Forwards

Sergio Aguero (Man City), Harry Kane (Spurs)

Let down by the forward line last week so this week we are bringing in the big guns. Aguero hasn’t quite looked back to his best yet, but that won’t last. Kane has been on fire and will be looking at destroying another London rival.

Last Week: Wayne Rooney (800 pts), Dwight Gayle (950pts)
